The Lifestyle

Tabor Hills Independent Living Community has a rich and varied activity calendar. We offer planned activities on and off campus, scheduled bus trips and more!
Our Newsletter
Most activities take place in our beautiful Semerad Pavilion. The Pavilion is where our Executive Director and Life Enrichment Coordinator's offices are located. We also have a resident-run ‘open’ library that spans much of the atrium inside!

Our Great Room serves multiple purposes over the year: holiday dinners, monthly parties, exercise classes, Wii Bowling league, and Bingo Hall… just to name a few!

Each month an educational lecture or presentation is provided on diverse topics such as Anti-Inflammatory Eating, Mind Fitness, and Historical Lectures.

We also have a multi-purpose room where our die-hard pinochle players face off quarterly in the Pinochle Playoff tournament! Our resident crafters enjoy creating with a purpose — this past spring we were able to donate hand-made dog and cat toys to the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society.

Independent Living Community residents also enjoy trips to local restaurants throughout the month, plus some trips to nearby attractions such as Cantigny Park, Morton Arboretum, Kane County Cougars Games, White Fence Farm, and the St. Charles Paddleboat.
